Ethelene L. Parker, 81, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. Mrs. Parker was born in Detroit on Sept. 16, 1926. She graduated from Ferndale High School. She married John T. Parker in Ferndale on Aug. 10, 1946. She was a resident of Berkley for 60 years. She liked to work in her garden, loved to read mystery novels and loved to watch sporting events. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband John T. Parker on Sept 18, 1985, after 39 years of marriage. She is survived by her children; Rosemarie Hutsell of Roseville, John A. (Sandy) Parker of Royal Oak and Kenneth (Laurie) Parker of Saginaw. Nine grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Sister of Lester (Erlene) Berndt of Ferndale, Robert (Carol) Berndt of Ferndale and Irene Hearl of Indiana. Visitation 39 p.m. today at the SawyerFuller Funeral Home, 2125 W.12 Mile Road in Berkley; funeral service, 11 a.m. Friday at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Parker officiating. Burial, Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
