Jacob Edward "Jake" Markey, 79, of Waterford, formerly of Oak Park, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2007. Loving husband of Rosalee Markey. Dear father of Janet (Charlie) Roslund, Jenice (Al) Nowak and Jene (Pat) Wolynski. Dear stepfather of Drew (Susie) Marvin, Julie (Ken) McDonald and Beverly (Richard) Groth. Loving grandfather of Shelby and Keith Nowak, Molly and Joseph and Thomas Wolynski. Loving Papa of Matthew and Taylor Groth, and Josh and Hannah McDonald. Great grandfather of Christian, Cameran and Caitlin. Loving brother of Jack Markey and Dolly Frith. Dedicated member of Faith Baptist Church of Waterford. An active member of the Michigan Treasure Hunters, and a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korea. Jake had retired from Consumers Power after 40 years of service. He was an avid bike rider with an endless sense of humor, who loved his family and life. Jake will be greatly missed by his wife, family and friends. Funeral service, 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2007, at Faith Baptist Church, 3411 Airport Road, Waterford. Interment following at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
