Raymond L. Silk, 78, a Southfield resident for 47 years, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born April 18, 1929, in Johnstown, Penn. He was a veteran of the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife Lois P. (Ling), whom he married on Oct. 29, 1955, in Johnstown; children, Brian (Cindy) Silk of Sterling Heights, Tracy Silk of Southfield and Sheila Silk of Southfield; four brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren. Visitation is 39 p.m. Monday at SawyerFuller Funeral Home, 2125 W 12 Mile Road, Berkley. The funeral service and burial are private. Burial will be in Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association.
