Alex J. Millar, 86, of Royal Oak since 1949, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2007, at Crittenton Hospital, Rochester Hills. He was born Nov. 20, 1920, in Chicago, Ill. Mr. Millar served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He was employed as a tool and die maker at the ACME Manufacturing Co., in Ferndale. He was a member of the Royal Oak American Legion Post 253 for 63 years. Mr. Millar was predeceased in 2004 by his wife, Luella "Mickey" Millar. Surviving are his children, Michael Millar of Royal Oak, Mondaine Sellick of Rochester and Barbara (Ronald) Malkowicz of Troy; sister, Margaret Pearson of Laguna Woods, Calif.; grandchildren, Sherri Siems, Jill Palazzolo, Joshua Millar, Matthew Millar, Master Sgt. Jack Sellick, Stacy Wylie, Thomas Sellick III and Michelle Wingett; and 13 greatgrandchildren. Visitation, 28 p.m. Thursday at Wm.
