Margaret Anne 'Maggie' Fries, 46, of Berkley, died on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She graduated from Seaholm High School in Birmingham. She was an assistant with Costco in Madison Heights. Surviving are children, Kathleen Marie `Kalyn' Fries, and Bryan Matthew Fries; parents, Thomas and Rose Marie Burke; siblings, Martha (Rob) Frank, Patricia (Dennis) Hall, Mary (John) VerKuilen, Kathryn Gregory, and James (Gina) Burke; nieces and nephews, Christa, Bradley, Elizabeth, Shaun, Megan, Lisa, Shannon, and Erica; three greatnieces; friends, Betty and Dale Drenning; and former husband Robert J. Fries. Visitation is 38 p.m. today at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy; evening prayer service, 7 p.m. today; funeral, 10 a.m. Monday at St. Regis Catholic Church, 3695 Lincoln, Bloomfield Hills; officiating, Rev. Norman Nawrocki; church visitation, begins at 9:30 a.m. Monday; interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield; memorial tributes, St. Regis Beautification Project, 3695 Lincoln, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48301. She was predeceased by sister Kathleen Burke.
