Thelma A. Mazich, 88, of Royal Oak and formerly of Shelby Township, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, at home. She was born July 16, 1919, in McAlester, Okla. Mrs. Mazich retired from William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She taught adult education sewing for more than 20 years and was a member of several tri-County square dance clubs. She married Nicholas Mazich Sr., on Nov. 10, 1945, in Detroit. She is survived by her children, Nicholas (Pam) Marich Jr. and Linda Pressley (nee Marich) siblings, Lee (Jim) Blackburn of Allen Park, Jean (Harold) Bernhardt of McAlester, Okla., Edith (Bob) Morgan of Garland, Texas, Joyce (Doug) McLean of McAlester, Okla, and Barbara (Jim) McLendon of Garland, Texas; five grandchildren; and six greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas, in 1969; parents, Clarence and Gertrude Baker; and special friend, Riley Williams, in 2004. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at William Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road (four blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy. Visitation will be 38 p.m. Monday, and 14 p.m. and 68 p.m. Tuesday.
