Laura Lee Harries, 58, of Metamora, formerly of Madison Heights, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She was born May 16, 1949, in Detroit. Mrs. Harries was an artist, photographer and president of the Lapeer Art Association. She served on the board of directors of the Pix Theatre, was a member of the National Board of Realtors, volunteered for the Gateway crisis line and as a probation officer in Madison Heights. She is survived by her husband, Michael, whom she mar ried Dec. 1, 1979, at Greenfield Village; mother, Eileen Tierney of Lake Orion; children, John Harries of Metamora and Wendy A. Harries of Madison Heights; siblings, Tom (Sharon) Tierney of Capac, John (Susan) Tierney of Lake Orion, Patrick Tierney of Waterford, Mike (Liz) Tierney of Royal Oak, Susan (John) Moher of Lake Orion, and Mary (Dan) Carney of Clarkston.
