Donald Lynn Cagle, 54, a longtime Madison Heights and Oxford resident, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at his home in Harrison Township. Mr. Cagle graduated from Madison High School. He was loved by everyone who knew him, including family, friends and acquaintances. He was a gentle, caring man to whom family was most important. Mr. Cagle was a talented artist, jewelry maker, poet and writer who enjoyed playing hymns on his harmonica. He was a Scout leader, sports manager and volunteer parent with Oxford Schools. Mr. Cagle was predeceased by his parents, Franklin and Gladys Cagle; brothers, Richard, Frank and Harold Cagle; and nephew, Jeffrey Cagle. He is survived by his loving children, Matthew Cagle of Clarkston and Sara Cagle of Oxford; older siblings, Charles Cagle of Moore, S.C., Jean (Cagle) Schomer and DiAnne (Cagle) Leitermann of Madison Heights, Howard Cagle of Ferndale, Joseph Cagle of Southfield, and Linda (Cagle) Bryant of Troy; 29 nieces and nephews, many grandnieces and grandnephews, cousins and his Aunt Roxie. Visitation is planned Thursday from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. service at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre, Madison Heights; internment, White Chapel Memorial Cemetery Troy at a date to be announced; donations, to the family.
