Martin Barnaby, 61, of Shelby Township, formerly of Rochester and Royal Oak, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at home. He was born Dec. 16, 1945, in London, England. Barnaby was a 1963 graduate of Royal Oak Kimball High School and a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era, serving in Thailand. He became a U.S. citizen in 1983. He was a longtime associate for Art Van Furniture in Royal Oak, and a former member of the Royal Oak Jaycees where he performed with their choral group called the "Brother Love Band" for hospitals and other groups. Martin enjoyed his guitar, singing (especially karaoke), reading, classic movies and playing golf. Beloved husband and companion of Becky for 15 years. Dear father of Stephen A. (Michelle), Jennifer L. Blain (Kenneth) and stepchildren David B. Dolmyer (Michelle), Sharon L. Miedema (James) and Kimberly A. Portser (Robert). Grandfather of Meira, Amanda, Connor and Matthew. Brother of Anthony (Elizabeth) and Deborah Hibburt (Clive). Visitation, 38 p.m. Wednesday at A.J.
