Dorothy (Bauman) Badgero, 77, of Onaway, formerly of Ferndale, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at home. She was born June 25, 1930, in Ferndale. Mrs. Badgero worked as head cashier at the Packer's supermarket chain until 1972, when she moved from Ferndale to Onaway, where she worked as head cashier at the B&C Grocery Store until her retirement in 1975. She enjoyed knitting and sewing, but most of all enjoyed the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 32 years, Ted, whom she wed Dec. 6, 1975, at United Methodist Church, Onaway; daughters, Freda (Dan) Dougherty and Jackie (Dave) Kolasa, both of Onaway, and Cindy (Mike) Kramer of Lachine; stepdaughters, Bonnie (Terry) Materna and Jean (Dale) Robinson, both of . Onaway; stepson, Jeff (Carol) Badgero of Kalkaska; 15 grandchildren; 24 greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents Bernie Bauman and Freda BaumanCarlson, brothers Harold "Sonny" and Andrew Bauman and stepson Tim Badgero. Visitation, 49 p.m. today, Chagnon Funeral Home, 20742 State St., P.O. Box 480, Onaway, MI 49765; prayer service, 8 p.m. today, funeral home, with the Rev. Joseph Iannuzzi officiating; funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Tuesday, St. Paul's Church, Onaway; interment, North Allis Township Cemetery, Onaway; memorials, Onaway Ambulance Equipment Fund, Hospice of the Straits or for Masses.
