Robert B. "Papa Joe" Branstner, 74, of Dandridge, Tenn., formerly of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at his home. Mr. Branstner served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from Chrysler Corp. as a personnel executive. "Papa Joe" was a dedicated supporter of his grandchildren's activities. He was predeceased by par. ents Bruno and Anna Branstner and brothers Dick and Karl Branstner. Surviving are his wife if 54 years, Donna; son, Kurt (Pam) Branstner; daughters, Michelle (Arthur) Harmon and Kristen (Randy) Loveday; grandchildren, Brandon Harmon, Matt Harmon and Kristina, Travis Harmon and wife Jamie, Tiffany Branstner, Shane Lathan, Brant Loveday, Tiana Loveday and Lia Loveday; sistersinlaw, Nancy Branstner of Michigan and Bettie Lampe of Texas and greatgrandchildren, Braylon and Jaylon Harmon, Kayla Harmon and Taelyr Branstner. Visitation, 68 p.m. Tuesday, Atchley's Smoky Mountain Chapel, 220 Emert Street, Pigeon Forge, Tenn.; funeral service, 10 a.m. Wednesday, funeral home, with the Rev. Kent Loveday officiating; entombment, Abbey Mausoleum of Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens.
