Leonard L. Jones, 84, of Royal Oak for 50 years, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born May 1, 1923, in Wardville, Okla. Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was an elder and Sunday school teacher at First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak and an industrial engineer at General Motors Corp. in Worldwide Product Planning. Mr. Jones was predeceased in March of 2001 by a son, Scott Jones, plus six siblings. Surviving are his wife, Joan (nee Wood) whom he wed May 25, 1946, in Stillwater, Okla.; children, Whitney (John) Knight of Fort Wayne, Ind.; daughterinlaw, Jo Ellen Jones of Stillwater; grandchildren, Bradford Knight of Los Angeles, Calif., David Knight of Erie, Colo., Jacqueline Knight of Elmhurst, El., and Kathryn Jones of Oklahoma City Okla. Memorial visitation will be held Monday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service at Evans Chapel of First Presbyterian Church, Royal Oak with Rev.
