Matthew L. Forton, 26, formerly of Ferndale, and a resident of Yale for two years, died on Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in Royal Oak. He was born Dec. 17, 1980, in Warren. Mr. Forton enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling and classic car shows. He started working at the age of 14 as a dishwasher and worked his way up to a cook at the Double EE in Ferndale. He currently worked for Continental Interiors as a project manager in Troy. He was a devoted father and family man and will be dearly missed. Surviving are his wife Candi Forton, whom he married Nov. 27, 1998, in Sterling Heights; son, Matthew Christian Forton, 6; parents, Lawrence Forton of Ferndale and Rhonda Forton of Fremont; Ind.; parents-in-law, Dean and Paula Edwards of Yale; grandparents, Florence and Louie Morabito of Ferndale and Lois Carter of Fremont, Ind.; brothers and sisters in law, Damian Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Doug Edwards and Renee Edwards; uncle, Steven Morabito. Visitation is 1- 8 p.m. Monday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W.11 Mile Road (four blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak; with services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home; officiating, the Rev.
