Carl Comer Wash Crook, 70, of Ferndale, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, at William Beaumont Hospital. He was born June 4, 1937, in Ferndale. Mr. Crook graduated from Lincoln High School and worked at Republic Steel until his retirement. He was a volunteer at Botsford General Hospital, and Wing Lake (foster grandparent). He also worked security at Nissan Motors. He was predeceased by a daughter, Elanda Crook; and siblings, Cornelius, Howard, Phillip and Harry Crook. Mr. Crook is survived by his children, Corsandra Crook and Lolita Crook; siblings, Lillie Milton, Sharon Smith and Kenneth Crook; and five grandchildren. Visitation, 2-9 p.m. today at Wessels & Wilk Funeral Home, 23690 Woodward Ave., Pleasant Ridge; services, 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Brother Waverly Davis officiating; memorials, Botsford General Hospital.
