Margaret "Peg" R. Smigelski, 79, of Berkley, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at West Bloomfield Nursing and Convalescent Center. She was born. Jan. 1, 1928, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Mrs. Smigelski worked at J.C. Penney for more than 20 years. She was also a volunteer at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for more than 10 ten years. She belonged to the Women's Guild of Our Lady of La Salette Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, Edward J. Smigelski, whom she married Oct. 25, 1952, in Wilkes-Barre; daughters, Marilyn (Jerry) Stankovich, Peggy (Gary) Thomas, and Kathleen (Alan) Pohl; brother, Thomas McGeehan; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
