Thomas Charles Soule, 63, of St. Petersburg, Fla., formerly of Royal Oak, died Thursday, Sept. 20, 2007, at Woodside Hospice in St. Petersburg. He was born Sept. 3, 1944, to Ivy and John Soule in Highland Park. He was a beloved child of God. Tom's loving spirit will sustain us all. He loved so many people and wanted to be a blessing to others every day. Tom was a graduate of Central Michigan University and Michigan State University and was a longtime Spartan fan. He grew up in Royal Oak and was a 1962 graduate of Dondero High School. He was a lifelong educator teaching in Lansing and at Michigan State University. Most recently he was a mentor for teachers in Pinellas County. Tom and his family relocated to St. Petersburg, Fla. in 2000, and he was involved in many local sport teams, volunteered with the blind, and was past president of the St. Petersburg Lions Club. He has many friends who love him and will miss his always present smile. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Joyce (Messner) Soule; sons, Andrew (Susan) Soule of Lansdale, Pa.; Timothy (Diana) Soule of St. Petersburg, and granddaughter Meghan Soule; brother, John William (Maureen) Soule of San Diego, Calif; and nieces Renee Soule, Suzanne Soule; nephew, Cory Soule, and many loving cousins. Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, from noon to 2 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home-NE St. Petersburg Chapel, 2201 Dr. M.L. King St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33704. The memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Rowbotham and the Rev. Hayes at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at First Unity Church, 469 45th Ave. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33703.
