Etta M. Sanchez, 75, of Berkley, Mich., died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2007, at home. She was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. Mrs. Sanchez was a 50-year resident of Berkley. She was predeceased by a son, Russell Bacon; and siblings, Art, Faye and Fern. She is survived by her husband, Charles A. Sanchez, whom she wed Oct. 14, 1950, in Hazel Park; children, Dolores Bacon of Shelby Township, Michael Sanchez of Natalia, Texas, Cynthia Sanchez of Berkley, Theresa (Robert) Forthoffer of Attica, Mich., Anthony Sanchez of Berkley, and Elizabeth (Dennis) Prescott of Prescott, Mich.; siblings, Harry (Bonnie) Sawyer of Rochester, Mich., Marion Murrel of Pontiac, Mich., and Donna Eggart of Sterling Heights, Mich.; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation, 2-9 p.m. Sunday at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 W.12 Mile Road, Berkley, with a 7 p.m. Scripture service; in-state, 12:30 p.m. Monday until 1 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church, 2600 Harvard Road, Berkley, with Father Eugene Simon officiating; burial, Roseland Park Cemetery Berkley; memorials, to the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
