Robert H. Squires, 81, formerly of Ferndale and Rochester Hills, and a summer resident of Kewadin, died Friday, July 20, 2007. He was born August 6, 1925, in Ferndale, to Hugh and Opal Squires. Mr. Squires was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ferndale. He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Martha. Surviving are his daughters, Nancy (Sally) Squires and Linda (Paul) Shurtliff; nephews, Gary Steven and Jeff Squires. Visitation 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. today, Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Directors, Ferndale; additional visitation, 10 a.m. Tuesday until time of funeral service, 11 a.m., funeral home; memorials in lieu of flowers, Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council Petoskey, Michigan Parkinson Foundation or Beaumont Hospice.
