Winifred Baker, 81, of Lapeer and formerly of Ferndale died Monday, July 9, 2007. She was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Detroit to Claud and Maud (Shelton) Robinson. Mrs. Baker worked for General Die Casting in Oak Park. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles. Mrs. Baker was predeceased by her husband, William H. Baker and her parents. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Reeves of Troy and Rita (Thomas) Rutkowski of Lapeer; seven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Bill) Rolheiser of Lapeer, Edward "Bud" (Betty) Robinson of Hazel Park and Joyce (Bill) Moffett of Cookeville, Tenn. Visitation, 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, 1021 S. Main, Lapeer; funeral service, 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Peter DeKlerk officiating; burial, Mount Hope Cemetery Lapeer; memorials, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
