Jerry L. Hairfield, age 68, passed away July 4, 2007 at his residence in Madison Heights with his loving family at his side: Beloved husband of the late Justine. Dearest father of Richard Adams, Kevin (Loreen) Hairfield, Dennis (Shirley) Janusch, Denise (Don) Goddard, Keith (Jacqueline) Janusch, Kathryn Janusch, Debbie Morris and Kelly Janusch. Loving grandfather of Adam and Kimberly, Daniel and Stephanie, Keith Jr. and Jillian, Gregory and Britni. Great-grandfather of Andrew, Joseph, Jack and Cole. Godfather of Theresa. Dear son of his late parents James C. and stepmother Genevieve Hairfield and his late mother Alice Palmer. Brother of Joyce (Roger) Kivimaki and James Hairfield. Mr. Hairfield was a crossing guard at the corner of 12 Mile/ Woodward Avenue for the children of Shrine Of The Little Flower Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He retired in 1998 from Detroit Diesel Allison in assembly with 32 years of service. Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home in Berkley, 3-9 p.m. today.
