Billy D. Gillespie, 89, a 65- year resident of Berkley, died Satm'day June 30, 2007 at the Woodward Hills Continuing Care Facil1ty in Bloomfleld Hills. He was born May 26, 1918, in Flint, to William and Lela Gillespie. Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Vera; sons, William and James (Arlene); nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchiltiren. He was predeceased by his son, Robert, and daughter-in-law, Rose. Memorial contributions may !:Ie made to the Michigan Humane Society. Arrangements hr Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Directors, Ferndale.
