Sheldon M. Damon age 97 a resident of Royal Oak died Saturday February 26 2011 in Royal Oak. He was born September 10 1913 in Detroit to Gordon and Clara. Mr. Damon served as a medic in United States Army during World War II under General Patton and was amongst the first to arrive in Berlin. He retired from J.L. Hudsons where he worked for many years selling men's suits. Mr. Damon was an avid golfer for 80 years and delivered Meals on Wheels for 25 years. Survived by brother Stuart; sister Mary White; nephew Ty (Marsha); niece Diane (Robert) Barnes; and many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by wife Charlotte; brother Ty; sister-in-law Alice and brother-in-law Ray White Visitation Tuesday 1 p.m. until time of service 4 p.m. at Spaulding & Curtin Funeral Directors 500 W.
