E. Louise Lloyd of Scottville formerly of Novi Birmingham and Royal Oak died December 28 2010 after a short illness. She was born July 19 1920 in Waynesfield Ohio. She was a 50-year member of First United Methodist Church of Royal Oak. She was active in the church as a circle leader for many years and served as president of United Methodist Women. She also led the youth group with her husband Walter for several years. She was a member of the Troy Community Orchestra where she played violin for more than ten years. After her move to Fox Run Village retirement community in Novi she became a member of the Detroit First Church of the Nazarene Northville. She was a member of the Fox Run choir for eight years. She moved to Scottville in October 2010. She entered the accelerated registered nursing program at Henry Ford Community College in fall 1961 and graduated two and a half years later. She spent the majority of her nursing career working in a rheumatology practice in Beverly Hills Medical Village. In addition to her nursing duties she served as office manager. She married her husband Walter W. Lloyd November 2 1941. He predeceased her on November 20 2001. He retired in 1978 after 23 years as supervisor of education and training for Chevrolet Engineering at the General Motors Technical Center Warren. Survivors include children Phillip (Anna Marie) of Troy Stephen (Pamella) of Northville and Patricia (Stephen) Schilling of Walhalla; brothers Joseph Sproul (Ruby) Rudolph Ohio and Sandford (Evelyn) Sproul Cato New York. She also is survived by 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. January 8 2011 at Mason County Reformed Church 45 S. Amber Road Scottville MI 49454.
