Anna Gigante age 88 of Hazel Park passed away peacefully November 10 2010 at Sanctuary at the Abbey in Warren. She was born June 15 1922 in Italy to Antonio and Maria Cavallucci. Mrs. Gigante was born and raised in Italy moving to the Detroit area in 1954. She worked at Farmhouse Restaurant in Hazel Park from 1954 to 1992 as a cook. She loved cooking and feeding her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Ferdinando whom she wed March 20 1960 in San Tomaso Italy. Surviving her are daughter Mary (David) MacPherson; and grandchildren Jamie Danielle Ben and Suzie. The family will receive friends Sunday 2-9 p.m. at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 12 Mile Road (2 blocks W. of Woodward) Berkley. She will lie in state Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Parish 50 East Annabelle (John R and 9 ½ Mile) Hazel Park 48030.
