Alex Stanley Konarski age 95 passed away in Houston Texas on Friday September 17 2010. He lived on Cass Boulevard in Berkley Michigan for 50 years and moved to Houston in 1999. Alex was a World War II veteran serving in the Army under General Patton. He fought in campaigns in Africa Italy Sicily and Germany and was awarded a Purple Heart in 1945. Because of his playful cat noises Alex was called the "cat man" by friends and family. He was always full of humor. He is survived by his four children Marlene Perry Pamela Darby Susan Curr and Kenneth Konarski; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Alex was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Margaret; oldest twin daughter Darlene Kaiman; father mother and seven brothers and sisters. A Memorial Mass will be held at noon Saturday October 9 at the Shine of the Little Flower on 12 Mile Rd in Royal Oak Mich.
