ASHER, JAMES F.; of Waterford; December 6, 2014; age 89; born April 10, 1925, in Madison, Wisconsin. Son of the late Walter and Vera Asher; husband of the late Dorothy A. Asher (nee McIsaac); father of Cynthia Beisel, Barbara Asher, and Edward Asher; grandfather of 15; great grandfather of 18; great great grandfather of 6; brother of Evelyn Kennedy (Edward), Patrick Asher (Eileen), Ellen Soblesky, Carol Asher, Michael Asher (Karen), and the late Margaret Bieri (Paul), William Asher (Yvonne), and Mary Stoner (Richard). Staff Sgt. Asher served in the US Army during W.W.II. He was a member of the Red Ball Express and was deployed to North Africa, Italy, and Japan. James retired from GM as an engineer after 26 years of service and was an active member of General Motors Retirees Association. James was a member of St. Perpetua Catholic Church for 25 years, where a Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, December 11, 2014, 11 a.m. Rev. Jack H. Baker, Celebrant.
