Tyrrell, James C.; of Fort Lauderdale, FL; formerly of Clarkston and Waterford MI; 1938-2014. Cremation has taken place; no services are scheduled at this time. Jim was born in Lapeer, MI; one of three children of Beverly and Rena Tyrrell. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Adrian College, and served 2 years in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He then taught science and art in Clarkston Community Schools for over 30 years. For many years he was an active member of Clarkston Village Players; a talented amateur stage actor and singer. He was also a great cook. Jim is survived by his son, Adam, of Rose Twp, who was at his bedside when he passed away in Florida, where Jim lived for many years after retirement; also a sister, Cheryl of NM, and a brother, Tom, of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.
