Currey, Maureen; of Rochester Hills; passed away on March 1, 2015. Maureen was born Maureen McIlroy and grew up in the town of Morecombe, on the western coast of England. Following graduation from high school in 1944, she served her Country as a W.R.E.N., stationed off the Northern Coast of Scotland. Following the war, she made her way to Detroit where she joined Parke Davis (now part of Pfizer) and met her husband, Melvin Currey (Chevrolet Gear and Axel). They lived in Huntington Woods and moved to Rochester Hills when they retired. Melvin passed away in 1997. Maureen enjoyed her piano, playing bridge, tennis, and supporting charities devoted to helping children in need of food and shelter. Maureen is survived by her companion of the past 12 years, Vern Tessier of Rochester Hills.
