White, Shirley Marie (nee Stier) passed away on December 8, 2014. She was 85 years old and died after a heroic battle with Parkinson’s disease. Shirley was married for 66 years to the late William White who died on April 25 of this year. They were devoted to each other. Throughout her life Shirley loved to travel, sew, read, and exercise. She also enjoyed tap dancing, singing, playing the organ and the ukulele. She was employed by the City of Mount Clemens as the manager of the Violations Bureau. Earlier in her life she designed factory layouts. In addition she was a volunteer with the Macomb Literacy Partners. Shirley is survived by her three children, Susan (White) Hutchins (Gary), Jeffrey White (Charlotte) and Craig White (Karen). She was adored by her grandchildren Alexander Kent, Shannon (Kent) Nagy (David), Kathryn White, Andrew White and James Korte as well as her great-grandchildren William Nagy and Sadie Grace Nagy. Shirley’s family and friends will always remember her strength, her honesty, her kindness, her generosity and above all her wisdom. Her family will reflect on all the wonderful memories she created and she will be truly missed by everyone who knew her. Memorial service 11 a.m. (visitation at 10 a.m.) Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main, Mount Clemens.
