Seagrave, Frances, age 93, born in Detroit, Michigan on December 24, 1920, died November 30, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Nellie Howells and Raymond Crist, and her sister, Jeanne Smith. She first married Elmer H. Miller in 1945, and together they had two daughters. After his passing, she married Jerome D. Seagrave, of Connecticut in 1969. Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Fran and Dale Barrack of Kingwood, Texas, her daughter, Carolyn Miller of Lynnwood,Washington, and two grandchildren and their spouses, David Barrack and his wife Chase, and Kate Barrack Abramov and her husband Pavel. Frances grew up in Detroit, graduated from Eastern High School in 1938 and Wayne State University in 1942. She then received her Master of Education degree in 1952. She worked in the Ferndale School District as a teacher then elementary principal at Roosevelt School from 1955 to 1971. In 1959 she co-authored and published a reading program called Listen to the Letters. She moved to St. Petersburg, Florida and worked at the University of South Florida until moving to Kingwood, Texas in 1992. She worked at the Lone State College Library and volunteered at the Northeast Medical Center.
