Perkins, Timothy John; age 43; following a long and challenging illness passed away on December 7, 2014 surrounded by loved ones. Beloved son of Tom Perkins and Terry Dodge (George) Westergaard; loving nephew and housemate of Uncle Craig Perkins; brother-in-law to Ramona Perkins and lifelong friend to Brian Charbeneau, Chuck Stief and James Zelenak. Tim is also survived by his one true love, Ursula Watson, who opened his mind, opened his eyes and nourished his heart right to the bitter end. Tim is predeceased by his older brother, Scott and grandparents, George and Joy Perkins as well as Wilfred Dodge. Tim was an accomplished executive chef and at his best working with a palette of timeless Italian cuisine. Tim delighted diners at Luciano’s, Maxine’s on the Avenue, Picano’s, Tirami Su’ and the Lochmoor CC just to name a few. Leading the local economic renaissance he was founder and executive chef of Bistro 61 in downtown Mt. Clemens. Tim loved life, lived large and died too soon. The celebration of life will occur in the spring at Clinton Grove Cemetery where he will join his brother and paternal grandparents in the family mausoleum.
