Video Memory Play Video Paquette, Charles, age 90, died peacefully at home on December 3, 2014. Born in Detroit August 28, 1924. Survived by his wife Bernadette (nee Marentette) of 64 years; and his children, Elizabeth (Gerry) Labut, Donna (Ben) Kiehl, Jerry (Brenda), Jean (Pete) Mikelonis, and Charles (Tammy). Grandfather of John, Philip, Annie and Jackie Labut, Katie, Paula, Ben, and Chris Kiehl, Megan Paquette, and Daniel Mikelonis, four great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister Dorothy (Al) Stahl. Preceded in death by his brother James. Charles worked for the Grosse Pointe Post Office for 40 years. He was a World War II POW, earning a Purple Heart and Bronze star. Charles was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Visitation Friday from 2-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes, Clinton Twp. Instate Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Thecla Catholic Church, Clinton Township, until time of Mass at 10 a.m. Interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Mich., at a later date.
