SZALACH, Harry S., age 93, passed away February 2, 2015. Harry honorably served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and received many citations including the Bronze Star. After leaving the military he became a Registered Pharmacist and was self-employed for over 50 years. Beloved husband of the late Kay. Loving father of Bill (Lisa), Mary Karen (Sam) Caruso, Catherine (Tony) Huhn, Stanley (Theresa) and Sally (Joe) Panek. Proud grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of eight. Dear brother of Eleanor Morton. Also survived by many admiring nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his adored daughters, Karen Szalach and Ann Marie Hild. Visitation Wednesday 3-9 p.m. and Thursday 2-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary service at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile Road). Funeral Friday instate 10:30 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 38775 Prentiss (Between Crocker and Jefferson) until time of Mass 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
