LODGE SR., CAPT. JAY, age 70, of New Baltimore, was called to his heavenly home on Monday, February 2. Lodge honorably served his country as an Air Force F106 Technician and retired as a Public Affairs Officer from The Michigan Air National Guard. He also retired from Chrysler as a Systems Analyst Manager. Jay enjoyed family, writing poetry, prose, sailing, RV travel, photography, roller skating, guitars, computers and anything technical. He was a member of CrossPoint Church, Clinton Township. Loving Husband of Teresa (nee Sarver) Lodge and father of Jay Lodge Jr. (Kim), Edward Lodge, Ruth (Brett) Banks and Andrew Lodge. Father-in-law to Jamie Lynn Lodge. Grandfather of Kaylor Lodge, Cienna Lodge, Joshua Banks, Jordynn Lodge, Brandon Banks, Jessica Lodge, Victoria Banks and Katelynn Lodge. Brother-in-law to Sandra (Jim) Best, Edward Sarver III, Ernest Sarver, Nancy Trask, Peter Sarver, Kristy (Ron) Gave, Wesley (Dianne)Sarver, Kenneth (Vivian) Sarver, Marion Gurzick and Audrey (Greg) Trombley. His 92 year old mother, currently resides in Colonial Heights, Va. Lodge is predeceased by his father, Army Major, Shenton B. Lodge. A celebration of Jay’s life will be held on Saturday, February 7 at CrossPoint Church, 44000 North Avenue, Clinton Township, 586-463-5541.
