Dukti, Charles Homer, age 73, a longtime resident of Washington, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 30, 1941 in Warren, Ohio; the son of Elmer and Catherine (Hudson) Dukti. He graduated from Edsel Ford High School and then received a Master’s degree from Michigan State University in Psychology. He married Judith Anne Sutermeister on July 21, 1973 in Washington. He worked as a school psychologist in the Utica School system retiring in 2000. He enjoyed his dogs, playing the piano and the banjo. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and became a wood carver in his later years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judith; beloved children, Mark Charles (Christie) of Washington, Sarah Anne (Daniel), Leesburg, Virginia; beloved grandchildren, Evelyn Elena Dukti and Lillian Sophia Dukti both of Washington. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-8 p.m. with a funeral service to be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Donna Zuhlke officiating. Burial will be made at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Veteran Affairs or to the donor’s discretion.
