Video Memory Play Video Berkau, Ronald, age 83, of Fraser, Michigan passed away on March 25, 2015 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was born February 4, 1932 in Detroit. Ron served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a mechanical drafter for the auto industry. He was a life time member of the VFW in St. Clair Shores and American Legion in Mount Clemens. A long-time member of the Moose Club, Elks Club and Eagles in Roseville as well as the Detroit Sportsmen’s Club and the FOP. He was the loving husband of 63 years to Patricia A. (nee Ferree) Berkau. He was the father of Linda (Russell) Trendle of Florida, Lori (Thomas) Berkau-Kolans of South Carolina, Kelly (Dennis) Vaysabel of Michigan, and Cindy (Larry) Miller of South Carolina. Also, eight grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. He was the brother of Jerry Berkau, Charlene Barrett and the late Maynard Berkau and Arla Bono. A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015, 1 p.m. at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, 38425 Garfield, Clinton Township, Michigan 48038.
