Murphy, Francis Joseph, age 90, a long time resident of Royal Oak, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014. He was born December 5, 1924 in Springfield, Ill., to William and Mabel Murphy. Mr. Murphy served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was a milk man for Wilson’s Dairy for many years. He coached youth football in Royal Oak for 30 years and at St. Clements for five years. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie (Witzling); children, Thomas (Diane) Murphy of Chicago, Barb (James) Stoner of Royal Oak, Daniel (Julie) Murphy of Berkley and Dennis (Lori) Murphy of Royal Oak; grandchildren, Mike, Ryan, Scott, Corey, Mackay, Keegan, Alexander and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Scotty, Campbell and Mallory. He was preceded in death by ten siblings.
