LAURIE, JEAN LAWSON, age 95, of Sterling Heights, formerly of Royal Oak, died Sunday, January 4, 2015. She was born March 11, 1919 in Royal Oak to Clyde and Grace Lawson. Mrs. Laurie graduated from Royal Oak High School in 1937 and enjoyed golf and traveling. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Royal Oak, the P.E.O. Sisterhood and the Royal Oak Women’s Club. Surviving are her daughters, Judy (Ernie) Kwierant, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn. and Barbara McNeil, of Sterling Heights; grandson, Scott (Kathy) Kwierant; great-grandsons, Michael and Jacob; and sister, Helen (Dick) Atamian. She was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Arthur, in 2013; by her brother, Jack (Patricia) Lawson; and by her son-in-law, James McNeil.
