Grose, Daniele T. “Dianne”, age 78, passed away peacefully in the company of family members on January 14, 2015 at Bluewater Hospice Home after a brief bout with cancer. She was the loving wife of Ronald for 56 years. They had a life of similar likes in travel and boating. Dianne traveled to Europe, where she found her heritage in Poland. She also traveled South America, Central America and the Caribbean especially her favorite island, Barbados. Dianne was a wonderful mother to Ronald II (Linda), Thomas (Lynn), Russell (Kim) and William. She was able to watch her 12 grandchildren grow and achieve. Her two great-grandchildren were close to her heart. Dianne’s brother, Stefan Schmidt, resides in Niagara Falls, N.Y. and her sister, Christine Gondek resides with her husband, Robert in Alexandria, V.A. Dianne attended Stella Niagara Academy in Niagara Falls, N.Y. She later received a degree in Art Education from Mercy Hurst College, Erie, P.A. in 1958, also a student of Oakland Community College for several years becoming an accomplished potter, exhibiting her pottery at the O.C.C. Christmas shows for many years. She also attended Pewabic Pottery, Detroit and taught art and pottery at Anton Art Center, Mt. Clemens, Mich. She taught briefly at Detroit Schools and was a substitute teacher at L’anse Creuse Schools for several years, as well as a den mother for Cub Scouts for several years. Dianne especially enjoyed teaching religious education at St. Huberts Church, Harrison Township, Mich. for several years. She was currently a parishioner of Our Lady of the River Church, Algonac, Mich. Everyone called her, “St. Francis” because of her love of birds and animals. She will be dearly missed by all.
