Read To The Dogs for Independent Readers

Registered therapy dogs are here to listen to children read to them in a one-to-one setting. It is fun and helps improve reading skills because the dog listens attentively and does not judge, laugh, or criticize. Registration is required for this program. Royal Oak Handbell Ensemble

The Royal Oak Handbell Ensemble will perform a variety of secular and sacred music pieces in the Friends Auditorium. The ensemble includes four and a half octaves of Schulmerich Handbells with occasional use of hand chimes, percussion and other instruments. The Ensemble was established in 1988 through the Recreation Department of the City of Royal Oak. Its twelve members live in the Royal Oak area. Registration is requested. Limit 100.
